bananas

my dad has dementia. Sometimes he forgets our faces. But he never forgets the taste of a banana on his tongue.

There is a banana tree near our flat. It is in someone's garden. One day when I was wheeling him out for some fresh air he saw it and asked our maid and me to pluck the bananas for him. Of course he didn't care if they belonged to someone else. Here I drew dad with my sister. :)

curtain call, curtain fall

This is an album of improvised music by Jon Duncan. By "improvised" I mean he just turns the MIC on and play.
Check back to see how to buy his music.

drunk

in the garden

what I saw today

we were waiting in our car, for Jo, the flower lady, who works for Chris, the flower boss. Jo was looking sort of worn out. She had to take care of her grand kids, and had to wake up early to deliver these flowers.... I saw this man with his puffy jacket, 2 women nervously looking for cigarettes from their handbags, a calm-looking lady in short sleeves, a slim office lady with pony tail worn high, and a school boy with that walk with feet turned inwards.

I also saw this lady, again. I have seen her several times in town. She had a very pretty face, and walked with such effort...
